Years ago, I worked with a young guy (early 20's) who disappeared from work for a week. Everyone was worried about him, but when he came back we found out his girlfriend had just given birth and he had ran off because life was too much for him. Marty isn't a young talented man achieving his manifest destiny. He's a scared little kid hiding from the responsibilities of adult life.
I definitely want to believe in the optimistic interpretation that Marty accepts there’s more to life than his ego-driven crusade for ping pong, but it can just as easily be the selfish anguish that his dream is over. This movie was very interesting to watch, every short term gain bit Marty in the ass and he ended up paying in full with almost every on of these swindles. Good watch
This movie really just hit in the way It just stuck with me I love the rush, his drive even though it's juvenile I know it's doesn't work sometimes but I love his zeal
If you enjoyed the video, please do like, comment and hype as the algorithm isn't my friend right now. Next week: Ryan Howard from The Office
Every video of yours gives me a different perspective on a movie, great analysis! Despite the double edge sword of dreams, they are always worth pursuing especially when you're young.
First of all congrats on reaching nearly Half a Million subs. I find it super ironic that Timmy didn't win the Oscar because he acted just like his character in real life. He worked on this movie for over 5 years so it makes sense he would emulate the character in real life. When I saw this movie in the theaters I hated the character until the end. However it makes sense that he acts this way because a lot of people are arrogant about reaching their dream in their 20's.
this is my favourite channel that analyses performances and timmy has been one of my fav actors for half a decade. seeing both my fav channel analysing my fav actor is such a nice thing
We’ll look back 10 years from now and wonder what the hell happened
Toyota Chevrolet was really good on this one. Jokes aside, he's brilliant and I loved the movie
Imma be honest. Michael deserved the Oscar far more for Fruitvale Station than Sinners. This is a “landmark” award, not because his acting was actually the best last year. Tim definitely had a better chance at it judging fairly
