Florida Man Executes Store Clerk on FaceTime

A husband and father of five was shot and killed during a robbery while working at a Leesburg, Florida store, collapsing on the floor as he FaceTimed his wife, who heard his final moments. Surveillance, witness tips, and help from people close to the suspect led investigators to Alex Lopez, who was arrested nearly a month later after a statewide manhunt. Lopez was ultimately convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery and sentenced to life in prison, while several family members and his girlfriend were charged with helping him hide.
