The accused was "competent" enough to flee the scene & check into a motel 8 miles from the scene.
I wish everyone would stop blaming addiction. 90% of addicts would never even think about doing something so heinous. This is mental illness and addiction was just a symptom. A lot of parents end up enabling their childs behavior because they don't want to admit what's actually happening. Im not blaming his parents but he needed more serious help much earlier in his life. Either way, he took 2 lives and shouldn't be free, ever again.
He thought about everything he wanted to do BUT, get a job.
He premeditated this crime he needs to get life no possibility of parole. He is sick. Lock him up.
The horrible man-child chose drugs for YEARS. Now, he has to face the consequences of his poor choices for the rest of his life.
He didn't want to be sober! He liked acting out! Evil in him, but he is not insane, he knew what he was doing and he planned it, left the home , got a motel first, then showered and changed his clothes. He's on video calming walking to a service mart and buying a drink.
Killing somebody because you’re under the influence of drugs, does not erase your culpability.
He was born "faulty" sorry, it happens to the best of parents. It's just not socially acceptable to say. What a very sad and unfortunate situation.
