Quaneesha Johnson, a 30-year-old mother of four in Lithonia, Georgia, shot and killed her boyfriend Demonte Smith on November 27, 2022, after he sent threatening texts while she was out. With deputies on scene, Johnson retrieved a gun and tire iron from her truck and shot Smith once in the chest. She claimed self-defense, but prosecutors argued it was murder.
