Trump DOJ Moves to VACATE CONVICTIONS in SHOCK MOVE

Attorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian break down the Trump administration's latest move to rewrite January 6th history. It's no longer enough that convicted Oath Keepers and Proud Boys members had their sentences commuted — now U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro's office has filed a motion asking the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to dismiss all charges with prejudice against a dozen defendants, including Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, who was sentenced to 18 years for seditious conspiracy. Dismissal with prejudice means the convictions are wiped from their records entirely and can never be refiled. Brian and Shant walk through the distinction between commutation and pardon, and explain why this goes even further than both: it erases the fact that these people were ever convicted of conspiring to overthrow the United States government. Rhodes spent $20,000 on weapons before January 6th, directed Oath Keepers from restricted Capitol grounds, and staged armed operatives in Virginia hotels ready to storm the building. Pirro's own office — before she arrived — argued at trial that Rhodes was the head of "Donald Trump's army." Now that same office is asking the court to pretend it never happened. Brian and Shant note the irony that even Rhodes has since broken with Trump over the Iran war, appearing on Alex Jones's show to denounce it. The court is expected to grant the motion, as there is little precedent to block it.
