The Bethany story really aggravated me. All that bs could've been avoided had the OP's parents just listened to her instead acting on loyalty from adults who clearly didn’t know how to raise a child right.

As a mother of four, I can't imagine making one of my kids be friends with someone. It's one thing to treat someone with kindness and respect, as that should be done with everyone, regardless. But to actually force them to be friends? That's horrible!

Wilderness camps are sketch af. I know of one that was shut down due to 2 different kids dying under odd / neglectful / possibly abusive circumstances.

Wow the parents in that second story are infuriating. First not listening to their kid and forcing them to be friends with someone they didn't want to be friends with, and then when they all finally listened they sent her to one of those horror camps?! Terrible parents wtf. It isn't OP's fault at ALL but Bethany's parents should face charges.
