The story of the ghost man that followed the guy around his hometown seemed sweet to me. Terrifying at first but after an unspoken agreement the friendship is sweet. I feel like the ghost man was on the verge of being forgotten forever and he found a person that acknowledge him, invited him in, and made sure he wasn't forgotten. So sweet. 💐

I loved the tale of the stone creatures charming more than anything my only concern was Hugo seemed hurt but it turns out it was pink flowers around his neck not blood phew !

When I was a kid I went to visit my Aunt Linda. She owned several acres with a river running through it. Her property was BEAUTIFUL!! With lots of flowers, green grass, and all the trees were very large and healthy. Her place was like a whole different world. Every time we ate she'd make a plate and set it outside on her back porch. While my cousin and I were outside playing, he'd tell me to not touch that rock, step around that one, and such. I never saw one move, but my cousin respected them and would even talk to them. I just thought he he had a good imagination. Before we left that Summer mom asked my Aunt Linda why she left a plate of food out on the porch. Aunt Linda said she was feeding the little Gnomes that lived on the property and took care of everything. To this day I never really understood it. Now, thanks to this story, I kind of do.
