That was a touching story, better than the usual creepy story. Poor Dora-Anne.
I'll never get tired of deep woods stories. Thank you so much for uploading these!
My mother grew up in the Allegheny Mountains part of the Appalachian's. She didn't raise us with superstitions, but she had them herself. One day, when I was about 9 years old, she scared me half to death when I came inside the house from being outside with my umbrella. I barely got in through the door when she yelled, "NO!!!!! She grabbed my umbrella and closed it quickly. She said, "Never, ever bring an open umbrella into this house!" I nearly wet myself because she scared me so badly. When she sat at the table to eat, she threw salt over her shoulder for a reason that I never understood. When my sister and I helped her to wallpaer and re-paint the living room, she yelled at us never to walk under the ladder. It was a scary childhood! 😅
The speaker has a calming voice.
“The Witch on the Ridge” was some old lady living as a recluse wanting peace. This is more common than people realize, especially in wooded areas. People just like living alone in the woods lol I find it funny when people just get outright scared of something out of the norm
Always a special day when joel uploads a deep woods compilation!
Thanks for helping me drift off to sleep 😴 💤 from across the pond in the UK 🇬🇧
A human reader? What a breath of fresh air. Ai read stories are lazy and trash.
I live in Appalachia and these episodes are my absolute favorite ones!
The backstory of the witch of Rattlesnake Ridge needs to be made into a movie! I'd watch the hell out of that.
