Durov’s quotes from the interview: If you imagine the worst things that can happen to you and then make yourself be comfortable with it, there is nothing more left to be afraid of Don’t be afraid to be contrary. Set your own rules. If you do something that everybody else is doing anyway, what’s the value of it? There are so many areas which you can explore that have nothing to do with information you receive on the daily basis. So it is extremely important to curate the information sources that you have. You should be proactive, you should deliberately try to set a goal, an area you want to explore, and then actively search information that is relevant to this field, so that one day you can become the world’s number one expert in this field. It is not that difficult to do that. You have to just remain consistent because nobody else is trying to do that. Everybody else is just reading the same news and discussing the same news everyday. I haven’t had depression for 20 years. One of the reasons for that is I start doing things. I identify the problem, I can see a solution, and I start executing the strategy. Important thing about swimming and physical activity in general is that it makes your mind clear, and your thinking processes is becoming more efficient. There is no point living your life in fear.
