Description

🇩🇴 I Ate the Best Dominican Food: https://youtu.be/uYZ2riozXk0 👉 SUBSCRIBE for more: https://www.youtube.com/@MarkWiensAbroad Today we’re in Cabarete, Dominican Republic in the heart of the Caribbean and we’re going to a special restaurant to eat seafood and especially some giant Caribbean lobsters! Check out Moises: https://www.instagram.com/moisesviaja/ Huge thank you for Moises for bringing me here. Wilson La Boca River Restaurant is a very cool spot along the north coast of the Dominican Republic, and they have an eco center as well as a seafood restaurant. You can actually go straight to the lagoon, take a boat across and go straight to the restaurant, but we chose to go the scenic route, by touring the backwaters before arriving at the restaurant. At the restaurant, you’re greeted by nature, peace and quiet, and plenty of the fresh catch of the day. Everything is cooked in the back over open fire, and there’s no electricity, which is a big bonus. We had a selection of local fish, lobsters, and of course the giant Caribbean lobsters to top it off! Wilson La Boca River Restaurant: https://maps.app.goo.gl/NuyXmSrZNoUWjVDc7 The total for everything we ate and the entire experience was 10,500 DOP ($165.68) Follow for more food: https://www.youtube.com/@MarkWiensAbroad https://www.facebook.com/markwiensfoodvideos https://www.instagram.com/migrationology/ https://www.tiktok.com/@markwiens 👕 T-shirts: https://store.migrationology.com/ 🎥 Camera gear I use: https://amzn.to/3FVdBUd (some of these are affiliate links and I will make a small commission from any sales)

Loved your video, but sadly I need to remind people that in the Dominican Republic the parrot fish is a protected species, it’s in danger because our fisherman have overfished them for years, they’re responsable of the production of the white sand that has given us our beautiful beaches and they’re almost extinct because of our fisherman’s negligence!!!

Thanks for visiting my neighbors, I'm from Puerto Rico but live in NY now. When I go see my family I at least take 2-3 days to visit DR. Such amazing people and great food. Thank you Mark, young Micah and Hi Ying!

Almost a perfect video, however the parrot fish is banned year round. You would think the restaurant owner knows better after 25 years 😢
