This Case Is An Insane Miscarriage Of Justice | Ep. 1644
Shift in Self-Defense Law and Cultural Cues: Analyzing Justice Disparities and Gender Messaging
Gain clarity on how the legal standard for using force against fleeing criminals was dismantled in 1985, and learn why shocking sentencing disparities reflect broader failures to enforce basic consequences in culture and commerce.
Short Summary
- The 1985 Supreme Court ruling overturned centuries of precedent, restricting lethal force against fleeing felons, fundamentally shifting legal burdens onto citizens and police.
- The case of Orest Sher, sentenced to 54 years for stopping a car theft, is juxtaposed against lenient sentences for murderers and violent youths, demonstrating systemic bias.
- Cultural expectations are revealed as contradictory, with women publicly praising male emotional vulnerability ("mankeeping") while biologically demanding male strength and stability ("pilot of the plane").
- Beloved American brands are being deliberately sanitized, as demonstrated by the Cracker Barrel rebrand, signaling a widespread effort to make culture ugly and empty.
- The core diagnosis is that lawlessness proliferates because society has made a conscious choice to avoid imposing meaningful, commensurate punishment.
This episode critiques fundamental breakdowns in American justice, social expectations, and corporate identity. It analyzes landmark legal shifts that endanger citizens defending property and highlights extreme sentencing variances. Readers will also gain insight into the conflict between modern relationship advice and immutable biological gender roles.

"Kids make mistakes" Mistakes? Bruh i aint ever STOLE A CAR. Notice how their kind (criminals) is immune to accountability
I am so sick and tired of our justice system. My friend's wife of only 13 days was killed by a drunk driver fleeing from the cops in CA last October. He was sentenced to only 15 years while this guy gets 54. That drunk in California deserves 54 years minimum for the life and marriage he took from that bride and groom.
So the kid admitted to trying to car jack him, but isn’t charged with anything? Weird.
What the fk are they saying? Victim impact statements? From the criminals? GTFO of here... How can the criminals also be the victims? CRIMINALS ARE NOT THE VICTIMS!!!
Stealing is NEVER a mistake. It's a choice.
The family of the victims can pack the courtroom but they couldn’t pack their children with morals and values
They attempted to “take” a car. The fact that they can’t say “steal” is absurd. 🤮
"They attempted to take a car that isnt theirs" Mother of all understatments.
this is so infuriating! a married man in the military, going to prison for the rest of his life because two criminals were committing a felony against him… You’ve got to be kidding me this is a complete miscarriage of justice
So they use words like “victims”, “boys”, and” friend” instead 14-yr. old assailant”, “thief”, and “accomplice”. Wow.
