Public School Is Finished. AI Killed It.

Even without AI, most students have not been learning much for a long time.

They aren't outsourcing their education, they are outsourcing their ability to think.

Teacher here. If I don’t make them hand write it in front of me all of them will use AI to cheat.

Worse, my teacher wrote his feedback of my graduation thesis with AI. It's not just going into one direction, the teachers are abusing the technology just as much as students, just that they are not being held accountable at all.... Accademia is dead, my diploma is worthless.

I’m in a masters program and the school actually had to send out a notice that we were not allowed to use AI or ChatGPT to write our papers. Education is doomed.

Public school has been finished for decades!

I'm 28. When I was little, I thought of college as this thing that was supposed to be really difficult to get through with hours upon hours of homework and studying. In my final year of college (2021), I could not believe how much the girls in my class were complaining about researching for and writing a 5-6 page paper for our final assignment in one course. They even guilted our professor into shortening it. We were all education majors, and I really hope those girls aren't passing on their laziness to students somewhere. I really enjoy writing papers and kind of miss having that kind of homework. I know writing isn't easy for everyone, but working hard and pushing through things that don't come easily for us is what builds character, among other things.
