Don’t forget the part about showing appreciation. It’s important. Women need this too. Everyone needs to feel appreciated and valued.
To all women: Tell your man you think one of your tires is low on air. Watch how fast he goes and checks and fills all your tires. I dont know why, but we love that quest for some reason.
Dad asks me to bring him the shovel Me at 6yrs old carrying it like a flag sprinting. "For father!!!!!!!!!!!"
I always do things by myself. I never let my husband do anything for me. And I am paying the price. Now he never asks and I just sit seething in resentment. It has ruined my marriage. Ladies, let your husbands be men. Let them do things for you. If you really want them to do something, ask them to do it - don’t just assume they’ll figure it - out and when they do something for you, as the lady in the TikTok video says, smile, be appreciative, and reward them. Don’t make my mistake.
The only dilemma is when the girl has 10,000 quests for you to do in an hour.
That’s actually spot on. We do like “quests” as she says and we do want to do things to make her happy. True.
True story. I was a little girl, staying the night with my best friend. She had an older brother. One evening before dinner, he asked me if I'd like to go to his room and see his aeroplanes ( I am old now, so this happened in a more innocent age). I went to his room and hanging everywhere were model aeroplanes. These came from kits and you needed to build the machine and use enamel paint to complete it. I looked around absolutely amazed at his skill. I turned to him and said: "These aeroplanes are really good. I think you are very clever." I will never forget his response to my truthful, innocent praise of something that meant a lot to him. I have never seen such a huge beaming smile that had him rooted to the spot. For all I know, he's still there all these decades later. I found out many years later that he thought a lot of me. Maybe that was part of the reason that my praise had the reaction it did. I conclude that with men, it is important to praise their achievements if you are as honest and without guile as I was when I was a little girl gazing in amazement at the aeroplanes my best friend's brother had made.
I just have the manly urge to tell my loved ones to escape while I stay behind fighting off whatever is after us.
It's been cold in the UK last week and every morning I defrosted my wifes car at 6am (as well as mine, I go to work early). It made me happy.
Ultimately, men want to help and are action oriented.
