When I started dating my husband, I was working, although I was not making as much money as he was. When we would go out to eat, he would always pay. But during the week I would cook, stop and get a pizza or Chinese food. I tried to make it balanced as much as I could. And he appreciated that. And I’ve been married for 14 years. Wake up, ladies.

They start off with a bad premise. There is no gender wage gap. The rest of the argument is then moot.

They demonize you but are happy to take gifts from you.

Another group of society exists this way. Children.

When we were dating, I appreciated that my husband would pick up the tab, because I'm a traditional person and it showed he was generous. Now that we're married, he earns more and pays for the bulk of our expenses, but I often step in to pay for things like vacations and camp as well as cook, do laundry, make him lunch, etc.. I appreciate everything he does for the family, and as we continue on our third decade, we love each other more and more.

The mental gymnastics required to justify the first one is insane lol
