The same thing happened to me. It had stalked and tortured me for decades. The last time, it was done playing and filled my body with so much pain. I couldn't breathe and my body was arching off the bed. It would let me go when I was about to pass out then do it again, over and over until I started coming out of my body and faced this dark shadow thing. Shapeless like a cloud except for its eyes and mouth. It was smiling at me. I knew I was going to die but terrified by where it would take me once I was dead. I cried out "Jesus Christ please let me die by your hand. I will accept whatever you want to do with me afterwards" A light so bright it seemed like I was next to the surface of the sun entered behind me. So bright, everything turned translucent as the light touched it. I watched the light move across the room until it filled it completely and passed out. The light was more powerful and more wonder than ANYTHING I've ever felt and it felt like love. The demon was terrified of it. Terrified of Christ. If we carry Christ in our hearts these things that reek of evil cannot touch us. They won't even come near you. I never understood Jesus Christ is real and he's more powerful than anything in the universe. He's God.
