It was all right. Dave has become more of a storyteller than a comic. There’s a place for him and he’s at the top.

Being disabled and almost bedbound. Approximately 95% of the time, due to an extreme lack of energy (because of excruciating pain and unfortunately many heavy meds), I loved the handicapped joke of Chapelle! I love jokes on my own expense 😂

I don't think this was Dave's funniest special, just because there were a lot of parts where he was serious, but in my opinion it's one of his best from a substantive point of view, it's really sincere and you get the feeling he's just talking to the audience like it's a big group of friends. He's really tied his craft all together, it's pretty amazing to watch.

What he was doing with the handicapped joke is what many people failed to realize he was *trying* to do with the trans jokes in the first place: He's taking a group and inviting them to the cool kids table where we all understand we make fun of eachother here, because that actually makes us equals.

This is not insulting. This is hilarious comedy and I think brings people together.

As someone that is handicapped Dave Chapelle opened my eyes to what comedy is…literary

His submersible joke had me rolling. It wasn’t even that the joke was super funny, it was that he knew it wasn’t great and did it anyway. When it came back around at the end of the special was fantastic
