OnePlus 15 Review: Extreme Hardware Overkill Meets Camera Disappointment

This phone delivers shockingly overkill performance hardware, featuring industry-leading battery capacity and extreme durability enhancements, exceeding typical refresh expectations. Discover why this engineering marvel is fundamentally undermined by significant camera compromises.

Short Summary

  • Deliver record-setting processing speeds thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and massive LPDDR5X Ultra RAM configurations.
  • Achieve near-indestructible durability via a new ceramic coating (Micro-arc oxidation) and IP69K water resistance certification.
  • Navigate significant tradeoffs, primarily a substantial downgrade in camera sensor quality for the second year in a row.

This review examines the OnePlus 15, which skips the standard incremental update playbook by including massive overhauls in silicon, thermal management, and battery technology. While enjoying the fastest performance available, users must accept the continuing trend of disappointing imaging capabilities from OnePlus flagships.

YouTube decided that it was a good idea to enable Japanese subtitles on a video by an American about a Chinese phone being watched by an Indian.

I won't be able to spot the difference between the OnePlus 13 & OnePlus 15 display. That's because I don’t have both of these phones.

That into was the GOAT. That Evangelion aesthetic is so nice, can someone can actually recommend a good brand for leather cases?

My biggest problem with OnePlus is that the phone stays so fast I have to skip every 4-5 years of updates. I went from the 7 to 12 and I can't see myself upgrading again until the 17.
