Genuinely hope this thing sets a new bar to meet and shakes the entry level laptop market. It is absolutely insane that, especially in stores, you can still find laptops with 1366x768 tn panels for 500+ eur/usd.
So many people that think they want an iPad really just need one of these.
I remember seeing Apple ads where the tagline was “does more, costs less.” I think we might be back to that today. Edit: People seem to miss the fact that this is a budget device. In the realm of Chromebooks, this thing absolutely does more than those things - this runs full macOS out of the box.
I got my 512GB Neo for $599 with a student discount im excited to try it out Tomorrow

The fact that it's a new category of product and yet they didn't even do a keynote for it's announcement tells me how confident they were to let the product speak for itself.
The next version will be called MacBook Morpheus.
