Description

Discover the truth about population-wide NAD+ optimization with Dr. Jin-Xiong She from Jinfinity Precision Medicine. We break down the clinical flaws behind the recent Janssen and Houtkooper human blood study claiming NAD levels do not decline with age or lifestyle habits. Learn how ethnicity, health status, NMN vs. NR synergies, and high-dose niacin vascular inflammation impact intracellular biomarkers, and discover the true optimal blood reference target for healthy aging Some links are affiliate links so we will earn a commission when they are used to purchase products. 🧬 SUPPORT THE CHANNEL & LONGEVITY PARTNERS If you would like to support our channel please consider joining our Patreon https://patreon.com/ModernHealthspan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jinfiniti Vitality Lozenges https://tinyurl.com/n5rm89xw, https://tinyurl.com/k9uy7bzr ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Does human NAD+ actually decline with age, and do popular precursors like NMN or NR work for everyone? In this episode of Modern Healthspan, we sit down with clinical frameworks pioneer Dr. Jin-Xiong She, founder of Jinfinity Precision Medicine, to dissect recent human trial publications. Dr. She critiques a controversial recent paper asserting that blood NAD+ remains static across age groups, exposing its narrow testing intervals and misleading over-generalizations. Drawing from thousands of independent patient datasets, Dr. She details the sharp, non-linear NAD drop off that occurs between ages 20 and 30, while revealing the hidden impacts that ethnicity and background health status have on your baseline cellular metrics. We also explore the optimal human blood target range, shifting from a baseline of 40 µmol to a clinical sweet spot between 55 and 80 µmol, and highlight the surprising cardiovascular inflammation risks linked to over-supplementing with high-dose niacin 📚 Chapters 0:00 Intro & Nicotinamide Preview 1:31 Meet Dr. Jin-Xiong She 2:09 Critiquing the "NAD Doesn't Decline with Age" Paper 5:53 How NAD Actually Changes with Age 8:43 Health Status, Ethnicity & Population Variability 11:04 The Study's Narrow Age Range Problem 15:17 Exercise, Protein & Lifestyle Effects on NAD 20:05 Blood NAD vs. Tissue NAD Levels 25:52 Freezing, Storage & Blood Spot Testing 29:52 NMN vs. NR vs. Nicotinamide: Which Works Best 37:23 Microbiome, Niacin & Vascular Risk 43:35 Does IV NAD Therapy Actually Work? 50:29 Optimal NAD Levels & How Often to Test 🌐Links in this video ⚠️ CLINICAL RESEARCH & MEDICAL COMPLIANCE DISCLAIMER This video features a scientific interview with a diagnostic investigator discussing intracellular biomarkers, baseline clinical data populations, and metabolic precursor biochemistry. Of course other precursors don't work, but his is a miracle. Yeah, I love these unbiased interviews...

I can't wait until the systemstic epegenetic reprogramming pill comes out someday that David Sinclair talks about when it comes out their is no telling how long we can live. We are definitely living in a longevity revolution

This went by very quickly, but it lit me up. I had to take antibiotics continuously for a full year, and during that time I suffered from considerable brain fog. After I stopped, it gradually improved, and two years later I now feel completely restored. We know that antibiotics can profoundly disrupt the gut microbiome, and Dr. She’s suggestion that this may reduce NAD gives me a possible explanation for my experience. Does Dr. She have any advice on how to restore the gut microbiome after antibiotics? Even a short course of antibiotics can sometimes cause significant disruption.

Dr. She suggests a common academic pitfall: journals prefer provocative headlines ("Exercise doesn't work!"). By generalizing limited data (like one type of exercise or one supplement), the authors created a "clickbaity" conclusion that ignores the nuance of individual health and biological complexity.

Hi Richard. Do we have any idea as to why the Chinese would have higher NAD than Koreans and Indians? China is between those countries so I would imagine it is not genetic. Is it due to different b3 intakes in those countries or something else? I wonder also about why the Caucasians would have a higher level. Are those levels measured in white Americans, in which case that would be weird considering the poor american diet, and metabolic problems in the US population.

There are many studies and the devil is in the details. You can cherry pick a few that might not be setup well or have pitfalls that strengthen an argument against or for whatever you want.
