I'm thrilled they're releasing Matrix in 4K, I love it, keep it up !
One thing that I always thought was kind of cool about this sequence or rather two things I should say. Is firstly a lot of people may not remember this, but a lot of that that we saw, especially when we see the hammer crashing into the dock that was actually practical effects. There was a large model of the hammer constructed, and it was on kind of like a little for the lack of railroad track of sorts. It’s smashed through a partial mock up of the gate and then you know came to a stop. Another thing that I like is, you can clearly see that the sentinels are very aware of the danger that is now among them. Because as you see, they make a very, very desperate attempt to escape because they know that the ship has an EMP on board. And it all likelihood they are aware that the EMP is likely charged they can probably sense it on their sensors. So despite the fact that they are cold and unfeeling machines, they do have at least a degree of self preservation. Also, if I remember correctly, the shot where you see them all falling after they have been deactivated was also practical effects. Sidenote, if I recall correctly in the special features of the movie, you can actually find a shot where they’re talking about the sequence right here and one of the special effects technicians mentions it, and it actually turns out to be Adam Savage of MythBusters fame
2:20 After the end of Stranger Things 5, those words have never had more meaning… 😢❤ 2:55 and 3:08 😲🤯💥
