I guess I appreciate they just had Laura's terrible mum go "yeah, I wanted to do unethical genetic science and the nazis are all about that" but also... wild to have a woman admit she just wanted to do unethical genetic science that created then killed 22 kids
I really wish they kept the darker skin tone for Laura.
My favourite tradition of the show Wolverine solo episodes which are basically entirely removed from the rest of the plot
Fun fact: X-23’s voice actress, Andrea Libman, is also the voice of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie in My Little Pony.
If only this was ReaX23…
Much like Batman the Animated Series created Harley Quinn or Superman The Animated Series created Livewire or even X Men The Animated Series created Morph, X-23 was one of the many original characters who grew to become popular all thanks to his show. It really says a lot about how this show has developed to tackle such dark themes and the voice actress for Laura did an excellent job at conveying the sheer rage and anguish Laura has been through.
Laura was the character who got me to start reading comics. Everything written for her since krakoa has made me sad or angry. They seem desperate to erase everything that makes her diferent from logan.
I feel kinda bad for Spyke. He was created for this show to be a main character, but they never really figured out anything to do with him so they more or less wrote him off, and his comic counterpart was killed off and forgotten after only 8 appearances. Then this show creates Laura for a Wolverine subplot, and despite only appearing in 2 episodes she quickly became a mainstay not only in the comics, but across all X-Men media.
My interpretation of the scene where she attacked Xavier wasn't that she was faking, but the fact that he asked for her name, and she couldn't answer made her resonably crashout. Fun Fact, Laura didn't offically get a name until the Innocence Lost Mini by Kyle and Yost. The less we talk about NYX, the better.
Laura Kinney 🤝 Conner Kent Both originally being clones but then retconned into what is essentially a child made without a uterus
