Josh put this out early so he doesn't have to worry about it during the Eagles NFC championship game today.
I loved hearing a chopstick/fork/spoon debate from a man with a spork literally tattooed on his arm.
I'm definitely an earlyyyy dinner kind of person. But like you said its a lifestyle thing. I work from home from 7-3. I typically eat lunch around 11 so im hungry by 4pm so I try to have dinner done by 4:30. Then I typically have a snack around 7 and get ready for bed by 9ish. My sister (who lives with me) hates how early I make dinner but if I wait I will end up eating a snack and not be motivated enough to cook later.
Can Confirm. Have kids. lunch is 11-12. dinner is 4:30-6:00.
josh eating 'second lunch' at 3 just means he yearns for afternoon tea
I’m in college, I eat when I eat. Sometimes that means 11AM breakfast and 4PM dinner. Sometimes that means 8AM breakfast, 6PM snack, and 2AM dinner
Yes, I have noticed the football thing and I am not happy about it. The Hubster and I are at odds on dinner, he still wants a large heavy meal around 6-7 pm (and he suffers with acid reflux all night because of it ), I want a lite meal no later than 5pm, preferring to having the large meal between 11am-12pm. BTW we are twice as old as you guys are.
5:30 isn't too early for a dinner res. Even if you arrive on time, you usually don't get seated until 5:45 & don't get to order until 6. So you don't get any food until 6:15 at the earliest. And if the place is popular, you may not eat until much later than that. That said, the oldsters like to eat @ 5:30 because the senior discounts at restaurants usually apply from 5:30 - 7:30. But they want to be home before 7:30 to watch Jeopardy
Best time to eat: when my daughter won’t yell at us for being hungry/sleepy.
I am 34, but God I must be really old! This entire conversation made me feel like a senior citizen. I eat dinner no later than 6, and I’m in bed no later than 9:30 every day. The thought of even leaving the house after 8 is like mind blowing to me! Maybe it’s because I grew up and live in a small town where everything closes at 9.
