That part at the beginning, where Cruise thanked the fans and talked about how hard the cast and crew worked to give us an entertaining movie, was one of the best parts. I really liked that and thought it showed a lot of heart.
I feel the same way. The man has never forced his politics or his religion on anyone and just puts on FUN movies and tries to focus on that. I want to support this man.
I'm still seeing it too, if this is the last Mission Impossible movie with Tom Cruise, I'm supporting just for the professional, hard working actor he is. Thank you Tom for allowing us to savor the last of a dying breed.
seeing all the comments saying "I'm still gonna see it anyways to support Tom Cruise" that's what good actors do. When they care about the audience, the audience cares about them back. Glad to hear he never plans on retiring, excited to know I have so many more Cruise films to look forward to
Nerdrotic: "Do you seriously believe your own hype that much?" Tom Cruise: *"I AM THE HYPE!!!"*
Having a bias towards underwater scenes, with The Abyss being my favorite film, the sub scene was one of the most terrifying scenes I have seen in recent memory.
I always support an actor that does it right. He didn't write the script, he just showed up to do his job. And risked his life doing it.
I never cared for Mr Cruise, but I always considered him a good actor. I will honestly say that I have slowly gone from casual acknowledgement, to an earned respect for this guy and his work ethic. I am almost positive we would not see many things the same way, but he always seemed to understand that he works for the fans, and they are who matter. Thank you Tom Cruise, for never forgetting what was important (most of the time).
I finally watched the movie. I'm surprised you guys don't mention all the girl bosses EVERYWHERE in this movie. The pilots, the agents, the commanders, they were everywhere
The sheer amount of exposition from multiple people in a single scene was infuriating and the flashbacks were a huge waste of time.
