Description

Who needs a Sabertooth when you have a Rat? This series has a real knack for character design. Only, instead of revitalizing established characters like Evolution, it prefers to puzzle and bewilder me with a nonstop parade of fascinating abominations. Who are these people? How do they know the X-Men? How traumatizing was their transformation? I don't know! But, I definitely feel sad and a little grossed out! But, seriously, these two episodes marked a much-needed shift in the series' plot and tone. With the first arc having dealt with establishing the characters and world, now we are free to actually play around. Or, in the case of Scott, have an emotional break down/through. Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how they bring this home.

It's pretty fun seeing an X-Men show throwing so much Nikhil for a loop. This is one of those cases in which expertise plays against you.
