That said, I think this was definitely the best possible episode to stand on its own. I can see why Kevin has become such a core part of this franchise (even if his characterization is NOTHING like I would have expected). He immediately steals the show in a not so figurative way. Every episode has basically followed the same structure. Ben has some childish tendency, he gets called out, ignores it, then learns his lesson by interacting with the villain. As such, every baddie we've gotten is, on some level, a foil for him. Animo and his greed. That weird battery and its pranks. They all reflect some of Ben's worst traits. Yet, Kevin is the best foil for Ben as a whole. He represents who he could have been had he not been born into such a supportive and loving family. Plus, we see how dangerous the omnitrix can truly be in the wrong hands. Overall, dynamite episode. By far my favorite of the season so far. Hope you guys enjoy!

What I love about Kevin is that he's the classic "rival/antagonist with the same powers as the hero," but handled in an original way. He's not an evil clone, he doesn't have another Omnitrix, he's a character in his own right with his own powers. This is my favorite aspect of the classic series: it has the typical superhero elements, but handled in an original way

"We got mutants?" That is a good question with a very bad answer.

I know he's the X-Men guy, so maybe the mess of Kevin's backstory won't be so weird to him, if anything it would be the most X-Men thing about Kevin.

Officially, the time limit on Ben's transformation is 10 minutes. Its 10 minutes of transformation, then 10 minutes of recharge. They're not the most consistent with the time in the show but they do pretty well.

The omnitrix seems to be "broken" the same way the TARDIS is "broken"

"I feel like the velocity of these two things is not equal." Wait until you find out how fast the Rust Bucket ACTUALLY is.

"Is it sentient or broken?" Buddy, we've been asking this question for 20+ years.

To Ben's credit, Kevin was the first person Ben's met that had poweres that wasn't a alien trying to kill him, a human (don't remember if mitants were given names in this show), and someone his own age. Any 10 year old could be excused for wanting a friend that's as weird as them
