I highly recommend NOT moving to Puerto Rico for those Act60 tax incentives. They are getting stricter to be eligible to be on and its a very controversial tax laws on the island, you'll get a lot of hate from local Puerto Ricans if you move there just for Act60. Plus it's really a tax loophole for multimillionaires and billionaires, if you're just some small crypto trader or business owner, its not going to be for you. Many financial YouTuber who have moved there for Act60, move there for like 2 years, then release a video saying that they left and that the island life is really tough. You have to me a multimillionaire or billionaire to survive in Puerto Rico as a Non-Puerto Rican expat, and live in the American enclaves like Dorado Beach or Palmas Del Mar.

Finally a video featuring the beautiful country of Uruguay 🇺🇾! my aunt moved to SA over 25 year and married an Uruguayan national. I visited her once and absolutely fell in love with the country. I want to move there within the next 5 years and it’s nice to have family already well established there. It’s so affordable they have 2 homes and 2 apartments across the country. Beautiful!

The problem with dumping all your money in a CFC even though the business pays 0%, is that you the person still pays standard US taxes if you pull out too much (ie: more than FEIE + standard deduction amount). All the years where you store money in the business, the actions that can be done w/ those funds are far more limited. Also every year you'd have to pray the presidency and congress dont magically come up with more laws that siphon more money from retained earnings -- think GILTI v2, retained earnings in CFC that exceed $1 million USD shall be taxed at 90% for example.

This is by far the best Nomad Capitalist video I’ve ever seen and should be the prerequisite video for the entire Nomad Capitalist video library. Keep up the great work!

Not at your client level, but a solopreneur, and I would still have to pay self-employment tax.

To be clear… Cuba doesn’t seem to be an issue to count towards 330 days if you travel there legally. For example my wife is Cuban and we operate Cuba tours. It seems legal to count Cuba if we have all of the necessary OFAC documentation for legal Cuba travel.
