The medical system in Canada has collapsed. The waiting time in hospitals in the emergency department is 20 to 24 hours. Waiting time for getting appointment with specialist is 4 to 6 months and over 6 million Canadians have no primary care doctors.
You should talk about your own list Andrew!
Being London based, of course the economist is biased towards Commonwealth countries. They're also the most tyrannical countries so that's not very livable.
I was raised in Melbourne and could not agree with you more. Beautiful city, terrible government.
would be interesting to cross reference WEF's smart cities with this list of 'most liveable'.
Hey Andrew, I think it's time Nomad Capitalist made its own list. KL for starter!
He disses Australia however it still has the highest gross millionaire migration rate in the world, there's more to life then low taxes, most people don't wanna be the rich person getting served by poor people they wanna live in a community of people who are all doing well in a place that has clean air, great food, safety and beauty and while I'll admit Australia could do better when it comes to personal freedom(still better then most countries though) it's pretty hard to beat on economic freedom and while taxes are high you get the benefit of living in a place that functions as well as Scandinavia but with some of the best weather in the world, it's also now cheaper then most of USA and western Europe as long as your out of Sydney, Melbourne and a handful of other towns
I don't like any of those top cities for living. I wouls rather prefer Eastern Europe or Asia any day 😅
I really like your take on those listings of the "Most Livable Cities." Those lists are probably prepared by journalist who use "Google" for research, and never have actually traveled all over the world, lived in different cities and paid taxes in different countries.
Damascus is an amazing city full of history, ancient architecture, amazing food, safe, and very friendly people.
