As an apartment owner in Montenegro, nothing works properly in this country. A real failed state.
Buy a base. Rent the rest.
The fact that prices in Montenegro have not gone up too much is beneficial for its people. Expats simply increase prices and make life more difficult for local residents.
I would never own more than 3 properties around the world, more would be rent, it s already a pain in the .. to manage 2 or 3 properties, I like much better to spend more time in trading and the stock market than dealing with bureaucracy and stupid builders..( just for the builders, u got to try 3 to keep a good one 😤), i did spend 15 years in part time renovation , never again..
At one time, my middle class friend owned 4 homes. When you get to a certain age, you get tired of the little crap repairs and dealing with the multiple tax agencies and assessments.
10K-15K per sqm is absolutely insane for Montenegro. For that you can buy better almost anywhere in Europe.
You should sell all your assets in the UK it’s baaaaaaaad
This is exactly why everything is so build up and there is still a housing crises: Greedy people who kill authenticity, way of living, and nature buy building and buying new everywhere. Buy a HOME -not a house- and go to a hotel when you travel!! You get all the service you want and don't contribute to the destruction.
You choose a place you like and before you purchase a house, rent a place for a year, then you decide whether to purchase or not to purchase.
Same as in Mexico. So many foreigners are ",real estate" agents here with very litte insider knowledge.
