Thanks a ton for telling people about this, if this isn't enough to get people to pay attention, I'm not sure what will. For anyone who doesn't want to watch my long video about it: The European Citizens' Initiative would bring it before the EU to require publishers to start having end of life plans in the future for games they sell to customers, so you wouldn't be left with nothing once they end support. All the focus is on the EU since the laws in the USA are too locked down on this, but not elsewhere. If companies were required to have end of life plans for their games, people in the USA would get the benefits downstream, similar to how Australia suing Valve over not having refunds led to people having them globally. Also as others have pointed out, it's much more powerful than a petition, EU regulators would be required to respond to this.
PirateSoftware got more scrutiny from a damn WoW raid than what he did to this initiative.
Everybody in the EU, lend Ross your power.
Thor isn't misunderstanding it. He's intentionally misleading his audience, because he's a developer of games that would be targeted by the movement.
Pirate Software is notorious at this point for getting his info wrong, refusing to admit he's wrong, and then doubling down and attacking anyone who tries to correct him. I don't know why anyone still considers him a credible source of information.
This Piratesoftware guy is trying hard so much to be the smartest guy in the room that he will rather quadruple down than admit that he is wrong.
Pirate also refused to speak with Ross and even insulted him multiple times before playing victim. For a guy named Pirate, hes kind of a corporate bootlicker
Everyone in this video is a dude with long hair, interestingly. The protagonist, the supporting character, and the villain: all long hair.

they just went to parliment
