Judge Approves Minimal Sentence for Oklahoma Rapist Armed with Overwhelming Evidence
Analyze why a judge allowed a documented rapist facing decades in prison to receive minimal community service instead of incarceration. This case demonstrates severe judicial oversight and potential systemic influence within Payne County, Oklahoma.
Short Summary
- Jesse Butler, facing 78 years for rape and strangulation, pled no contest to evidence deemed "irrefutable."
- Judge Susan C. Worthington ratified an agreement sentencing him only to community service and rehab, bypassing jail time.
- Speculation arises due to the defendant's powerful family ties within the Oklahoma community, especially connections to OSU football circles.
This segment dissects how Judge Susan C. Worthington approved an exceptionally light sentence for Jesse Butler, an 18-year-old who admitted to heinous sexual assault crimes. The ensuing discussion questions the role of local establishment connections in facilitating this perceived miscarriage of justice.

'It turns out his family is very well connected' 🙄 tale as old as time fr
And that is why it's so hard for victims to speak out, because he's still walking free. How terrifying for them
I'm the brother of one of the victims. This whole situation has been beyond frustrating and I'm glad people like you are giving Jesse at least a fraction of a punishment through public shame. A few things I would like to note that not many people are talking about: 1. The high school flat out ignored my sisters protective order. The principal Mr. Howell said "I did not put it on his file, I'm not going to ruin this kids life" in response to a confused teacher asking about the legally mandated order. We only found out about this after the other victims mom called the school to ask about why they weren't taking any measures to protect the girls. My sister had to go fully virtual due to this and the principal and school officer bullying the girls. Mr. Blankenship the school officer dragged the other victim out of class to his office and tried to intimidate her and grilled her on why she was trying to ruin Jesse's reputation. Then for the next couple of months Mr. Blankenship would show up at her sports events staring at her. Why? Jesse's dad was close friends with Mr. Howell and Mr. Blankenship. They have been seen all sitting together at the high schools' baseball games (the sport Jesse played for the high school) 2. The lady who issued the bond for his arrest also knew the butlers. When they were arresting him his mother recieved a call from the lady (I unfortunately do not know her name) and she instructed jesses mom to call him. Tell him to turn around (he was on his way to baseball practice, which is where the police were headed to intercept him), drive home, and for Jesse to lock the doors. And for her to drive home to protect him. 3. The DA who accepted the plea deal teo days before TOLD my mom and the other victims mom that they would NOT be accepting a plea deal as it would lead to him being tried as a youthful offender. Became of this betrayal and switch up we believe she way paid off. This kid had been shielded from consequences his whole life, every step of the way he has been shielded from consequences.
As of right now the petition to remove the judge has less than 10k signatures. Please go sign it.
If I remember, these offenders have an average of 13 victims in their lifetime. The judge should be responsible for all future victims, she’s sick
There's a petition to disbar this judge if you live in Oklahoma and want to sign it, YT doesn't allow links but you can search for it easily enough. Update: The petition was a success and the judge underwent a misconduct trial, unfortunately the court decided that she acted within anti jail laws that allow violent crimes to be lowered to misdemeanor with community service, she also refused to resign, so neither the judge nor the culprit will face any punishment, further due to being a anointed judge she can't be voted out, the only avenue now is to call on the politians and senators of Oklahoma to put strong pressure on the courts to remove her or to vote in politians and senators who will put pressure on them and remove pro criminal laws, it's up to Oklahoma voters now.
That judge needs to be investigated, disbarred, and charged for criminal negligence.
Why does that judge have the build of Kingpin? Holy shoulders Batman
A former teacher named Seth Swaim was caught sexting a 13-year-old girl, stalking her, and even trying to crawl through her bedroom window. He was sentenced to ten years in prison and served eight months. Eight. Then he got out… and did it again. His new victim was just sixteen. She did everything right, filed a report, filed a protective order, and still the system failed her over and over. The very same Judge Susan Worthington, kept lowering his bond. He violated that order eleven times, and each time she let him walk free. Eleven times.
Also of note, this monster brought his victims to his parents home. His mother walked in to check cause of the screams, but her son said it was fine, then she left. The mother deserves charges too imo
