Superman saves a squirrel in this movie. That's how much he cares lol.
A quote about Superman that I think is very appropriate for this movie: "Superman is not a fantasy about how good it would be to have power. Superman is a fantasy about what it would be like if someone who had power was good."
The shot of Superman rising after saving the woman and the building falls was absolutely beautiful. I need a 4k shot
Mister Terrific was really the MVP, really using all 14 PhDs
"He is kindness in a world that thinks kindness is old fashioned" This movie made me remember this quote
Him saying he had to find the dog wasn’t a comedic scene, it was showing just how caring Superman is that he’s willing to turn himself in just to possibly find a dog he doesn’t even really like that much.
I thought Lex Luthor getting ripped up by Krypto was more of a catharsis for the audience. Superman would never get revenge physically for all the crap he went through in the movie but Krypto doesn’t know/care. I can see audiences being relieved that Superman got some sort of real payback without compromising his own morals.
"after he heals he goes to fight another villain" no, he goes to fight the same villain that JUST beat his ass 10 minutes before, and shockingly, gets his ass beat again because he didn't all of a sudden get a super saiyan power up in 10 minutes lmfao
The scene where he talks about Kripto being a bad dog but he has to save him because he's probably lonely, actually hit me really hard. I didn't feel it was jokey, I felt it was vulnerable. It felt honest. It felt less quippy and more juat like honest in moments of depressions. But I agree with a lot of the other stuff you say.
