Its confirmed the movie was supposed to be 3+ hours, but the higher-ups decided to cut a lot of stuff for it to be a more "accessible" flick. Hope we get a director's cut in the future.

What's funny is that Mark Ruffalo was cleary acting as Trump for the character (He HATES trump), but the director says the character isn't suppose to be a spoof of Trump lol

Bro I loved Mickey 17 without watching any reviews or anything beforehand. When I got out of the theater I was so sure that it would be considered an instant classic... I pulled out my phone and looked it up and saw that I was like the only one that thought that.

I think what explains the majority of the problems with the film that I don’t see a lot of people bringing up is that fact that it’s a book adaptation. When you look at it from that pint of view things makes a lot more sense as to why it feels like so manny things just never go anywhere till they’re over, and plot elements that don’t develop until they’re at their respective climax.

pretty sure Ruffalo and (the wife i dont know sorry) were portrayed like that purposefully as parody. Its a juxtaposition between everyone else being so serious and played down, while theyre so amped up. theyre supposed to feel alien, even among aliens, they lack logic, theyre quite literally insane, not on the same level as other people. It works well for me, especially on reminiscing.
