Review of One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 5 Animation and Production Failures
Discover why One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 5 fails despite community hype and how production failures mask talented animator contributions within this disappointing installment.
Short Summary
- Episode 5 is technically the best of Season 3 but remains fundamentally disappointing, stiff, and overly reliant on still frames.
- The primary failure points toward Bandai prioritizing cost-cutting over quality for this massive property.
- Talented animators, like Van Oba, had high-quality sequences obscured by poor directorial choices and misleading visual filters. This review critically analyzes the evidence suggesting deep-seated production rot affecting pacing, quality, and fan satisfaction.

Instantly knew this had something to do with One Punch Man from the title😭😭
When Garou said "I can't move", yeah man I noticed😭.
Turns out the good animation was the friends we lost along the way
Anime companies: Huh, this series is loved by most worldwide and the hype for its next season is at an all time high. Give it $3 of our funding and designate the rest of it to ‘My Sister’s Friend Gave Me Her Toothbrush, Then I Died And Became A Dentist In Another World’.
The animation is actually incredible. It’s just being animated at such a high level, that we don’t even realize the anime has been animated.
As a manga reader I will just pretend OPM had only one season of anime
“It’s hunting time” *garou realizing that in order to hunt he needs to move*
I don’t understand how a multi-billion dollar company like Bandai-Namco can give one of the most popular Manga absolutely none of its time and resources
Years later, Boros is STILL stealing the budget
Manga: God tier Anime: whole bloodline disappointment
