For some good news, for the third year in a row, the bat population in Wisconsin is up!
My dad made me do conversion therapy, in the end I’m still gay and the only difference is I don’t talk to him.
Hey Phil! Federal employee here. I have cancelled two medical appointments since the shutdown began. I'm not allowed to take leave and had to also cancel a small vacation I planned for later this month. I don't completely trust I will be paid, and with all the threats of firing, I don't want to make unnecessary expenses in case I lose my job. A lot of us are stressed; it's just been one thing after another for a long time now.
I work for the VA and I’m not affected thank God, but my husband who works for the National Guard has to go to work and not be paid. It should affect Congress not America’s hard workers.
The conversion therapy thing being brought to court is the perfect description of "Rules for thee but not for me." Silence any anything that can be considered criticism of how they handled Kirk, perfectly fine in their eyes. The banning of a practice that is LITERALLY PROVEN TO BE INEFFECTIVE in LITERALLY EVERY WAY and causes kids to want to off themselves? "Well that's a violation of MY free speech!"
If the federal workers aren't getting paid, then they should lead a national walk out/work protest. Bring airports to a halt, no more intelligence for our federal agencies and military. Grind everything to a halt and see how quickly the people get their Medicaid funded and their health care subsidies back.
