I prefer the cosmic horror form because you can't blame something that never considered you in the first place, it would be like an ant blaming a highway
2 hour Quinn video. We're eating good tonight.
Quinn reignited my sci fi itch a couple years back. Always will be a fan of this channel.
Ur passion for literature, stories and concepts is truly inspiring
Quinn really should read for audio books. His narrator voice is on point.
Quinn I'm stuck at work for 13 hours today (special occurrence) you don't know what a gift this is
1:55:21 Frankenstein isnβt punished for his creation, heβs punished for depriving his creation of lifeβs necessities. The monster was perfectly capable of living out a happy existence, but Frankenstein and many others stripped him of his dignity and showed him only cruelty. Victor βplayed godβ by creating life but failed to take responsibility in nurturing it. He was punished for his abandonment, not necessarily for the creation itself.
I enjoy the Star Trek take on this, where actual God's turn up frequently and people are generally just annoyed by them and want them to go away.
The Nine Billion Names story reminds me of the thought that there are people that prey for the sun to come up every day, and you wouldn't be able to tell them that their efforts are wasted since their ritual coincides with the sun coming up without fail, in the observable present.
