HALLOWEEN 3: SEASON OF THE WITCH (1982) IS PURE INSANITY!! MOVIE REACTION!! Silver Shamrock
Reaction and Analysis of Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Analyze why Halloween III is a divisive cult classic that abandoned Michael Myers, exploring its standalone sci-fi/occult horror elements and the execution of its bizarre corporate conspiracy.
Short Summary
- Evaluate the film’s radical departure from the Myers narrative and the effectiveness of its standalone plot.
- Discuss the unexplained supernatural elements, including robotic figures, animated Stonehenge, and mass insect contamination.
- Assess the perceived weakness of protagonist Dr. Dan Challis compared to the strong female supporting character, Ellie Grimbridge.
Roxy Striar and Tara Erickson review John Carpenter's non-Myers sequel, Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982). They dissect the chilling conspiracy surrounding the Silver Shamrock mask company and debate whether this daring entry deserves its cult status or should be dismissed as a franchise outlier. The dual hosts judge the pacing, practical effects, and the unexpected pivot into Celtic occultism.

I really miss Roxy looking up trivia on IMDB after these because these ones would have been great!
When the dude pulled out the cordless drill, I expected Roxy to say, "A cordless drill? In 1982?" LOL.
After getting over the initial shock of this movie, it's fun to have on in the background during a Halloween party. Nobody really needs to pay attention and the practical effects make a good "oh hey, watch this part"
Hey Shejects! I'm not sure if anyone has said this already. But the Halloween franchise has multiple timelines. Think of it as a multi-universe. To help you being less confused.....here are timelines: 1. The Thorn Timeline: Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995). 2. The H20 Timeline: Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), and Halloween: Resurrection (2002). 3. The H40 Timeline: Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022). 4. The Reboot Timeline: Halloween (2007) and Halloween II (2009). Important Note: Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) is largely disconnected from the Michael Myers storyline and is often considered its own standalone film. Hopefully, this helps you out going forward 😊
Roxy: If you’re strangled and you know it clap your hands 👏👏😂
20:07 Tara was giving a little Jennifer Coolidge there. 😄

Also, the operator and curfew voice is Jamie Lee Curtis (,Laurie Strode) and the doctor's wife is indeed Nancy Loomis who played Annie in the original
I think this movie is criminally underrated. The score is perfect and super creepy. Glad to see this reaction!
An anthology would have been far better. You have 73 different timelines if they had stuck with the anthology idea.
