My 8 year old bawled at the end of this movie. I think it was his first true emotional response to a movie. I think this might have been his Iron Giant
Such a masterpiece. I love how it isn't afraid to show how brutal nature can be as well as it's most beautiful parts. I love how Roz gradually sounds less robotic, Fink's character development is great, and the scene where BrightBill leaves on migration and Roz catches his feather makes me tear up every time.
“What if I need to tell you something and you’re not here” this broke me. I wish everyday that I could tell my great grandparents things but I can’t because they’re gone 😭
The crying in the migration scene was so real lol. Roz running after brightbill even after she completed her task especially got me.
I'm a simple man. I see Greg cry in a thumbnail, I click, and I cry along with him. 💜
I love that as the movie progress, the robot's voice starts the sound less robotic and more human as it starts developing human feelings.
This movie captures the epitome of motherhood so well. Throughout the entire movie we see the robot slowly breaking down, giving so much of herself to complete her task of raising a gossling. The only thing that keeps her going at the end when she is on the verge of shutting down permanently is when the gossling nuzzles up to her neck and tells her he loves her, giving her renewed strength and purpose, making all her efforts and self-sacrifice worth it. It so accurately dipicts the struggle moms face in raising children, while also masterfully showing how love and meaning more than make up for it in the end. My wife was a mess throughout the entire last half of the movie. Such a beautiful film and one that we desperately needed in these times.
Never in my entire life I would have guessed that a relationship between a robot and goose will make me cry but here I am still bawling
I am adopted. I had the absolute honor of watching this movie, in theaters, with my adoptive mom. We… wept… buckets… together. It was a once in a lifetime experience. It was… genuinely priceless. I love my mom so much 💕😭
