This filmed performance, directed by Thomas Kail (Fosse/Verdon), captures the original Broadway cast in their acclaimed roles, telling the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through music and choreography that redefined modern musical theatre. Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Vivo) stars as Alexander Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr. (One Night in Miami, Red Tails) commands the stage as Aaron Burr, and Phillipa Soo (Moana, Shining Girls) brings depth and passion to Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting, Snowpiercer) shines in his dual roles as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, while Renée Elise Goldsberry (Girls5eva, Altered Carbon) stuns as Angelica Schuyler. Rounding out the powerhouse cast are Christopher Jackson (In the Heights, Bull) as George Washington, Anthony Ramos (In the Heights, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, Okieriete Onaodowan (Station 19) as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, and Jasmine Cephas Jones (Blindspotting) as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds. The film features iconic numbers like My Shot, The Schuyler Sisters, The Room Where It Happens, and Satisfied, along with the show-stopping Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) and the emotional finale Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story. The Angelica slander is sending me 😂 My girl did not give up her chance at happiness with the man she truly loved for her sister just to be labeled a cheater and a homewrecker!! She's a fan favorite exactly because of how complicated and nuanced her feelings for Alexander and his marriage to her sister were. Really enjoyed the reaction though, thanks for re-uploading. And happy birthday Greg!! 🎂🎈

When you look into what happened to Burr after he killed Hamilton, it's like he was cursed. His daughter Theodosia was lost at sea and when his second wife Eliza Jumel filed for divorce, her lawyer was Alexander Hamilton Jr. The divorce was finalized on September 14, 1836, the same day Aaron Burr died.

Angelica can't control how she feels, she can't control the fact that she loves Hamilton. But she can control her actions, and she would rather live in misery than hurt her sister. She would never actually hurt her sister.

He’s just a genius. Every aspect of the play is planned and has meaning. Eliza never raps because she’s the only one who had enough time. She wasn’t rushed in life

He was talking about marrying one of the Schuyler sisters before he even met them because of their societal status. Burr said “If you can marry a sister you’re rich, son” and Hamilton replied “Is it a question of ‘if’ Burr? Or which one?” Their last name was definitely part of why he was interested Angelica wasn’t wrong about that

"The Room Where It Happens" is one of the show’s best songs. It’s insane how Leslie Odom Jr. barely changes his appearance with makeup, yet in just a few minutes, he transforms into a completely different person through his performance. The way he builds tension, shifts his energy, and fully embodies Burr’s hunger for power is nothing short of mesmerizing. By the end, you feel like you’ve witnessed not just a song, but a turning point in the entire story

Of all the fun fact, my favorite is on Eliza’s deathbed at 97; her last words were, “I miss Alexander.” That and that her orphanage is still in operation and aids foster kids in NYC.

You guys really didn't understand Angelica. She wanted hamilton (in this play) but she loved her sister more. She stayed in her lay and was just his intellectual equal. They never did anything physical and Angelica makes it clear Eliza is above anything. Though the three did have a very close connection in real life, being at his side with Eliza when he died and being buried near them.
