The beginning reminded me a lot of Everybody Hates Chris... The original one terrified me but I loved it as a kid. The problem with this is not so much that they use CGI instead of practical, especially if it's for kids today. The problem is that it's so bad CGI, it looks like something from the early 2000s.
Whaddya think, #RejectNation? Are you excited to see Zemeckis, Del Toro, & Barris's take on Roald Dahl's classic, or is this a "Not my Grand-High Witch" scenario?!? - Don't delay! I hoped they were gonna keep the original book ending but judging by Chris Rock being a adult version of the kid, I'm guessing they puss'd out
I wish Anne Hathaway got more lead roles in mainstream movies. Shes such a talented actress and its a bummer he career didn't take off after dkr and interstellar.
If Octavia Spencer doesn’t smoke a cigar at some point, I’m out.
It will be released theatrically outside US starting a week after HBO Max's release.
The original one scared me so bad but this look good but the original is always going to be on my mind
When Greg’s hair is in his face he honestly looks like the lead vocalist of Spite
Born in 1990 and remember watching the original and being scared and entertained at the same time so I’ll be approaching viewing this one cautiously
Not to mention it's now American and not British. Roald Dahl would have hated every second of this movie...
