Description

A bill created to address the Black maternal health crisis is being stripped of the very word that identifies who is most at risk. For free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (724) 264-8281 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/roland *Paid Partnership* Roland Martin and reproductive health advocate Jennifer Driver sound the alarm after federal lawmakers removed the word "Black" from legislation long considered Congress's primary vehicle for addressing the Black maternal health crisis. The discussion expands beyond language, examining cuts to Black health research, attacks on Black-focused nonprofits, and efforts to dismantle offices and programs dedicated to reducing racial health disparities. The central argument is simple: if policymakers refuse to name Black people, they make it harder to measure, fund, defend, and solve problems disproportionately affecting Black communities. #RolandMartinUnfiltered #BlackStarNetwork #BlackMaternalHealth #BlackWomen #MaternalHealth #HealthEquity #blackhealthmatters Black Star Network Partner: Chapter Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program. If lawmakers remove the word "Black" from legislation designed to address Black maternal mortality, what exactly are they trying to accomplish?

targeting blacks was written into Project 2025! They actually wrote in widespread cuts in areas including healthcare

I don't think people realize how big of a problem this is. Black women are dying while pregnant at such a large scale. Taking away funding to minimize this is going to worsen the situation. They're doing this on purpose.

These racists may feel giddy at getting away with this _for now,_ but they _will_ pay for this. I take joy in knowing they're paranoid about when & where it will happen too.
