Story 1: “Because the stolen item has left our property we cant do anything” …what kinda messed up logic is that…?

Op in story 1 missed a completely golden opportunity. I'm sure some journalist would love knowing that an airline is harbouring a theif on their staff and show actual proof of the air ports moving. Then again I probably have a bit more time on my hands than Op does though😂😂😂

Story 4: If your own mom YELLS at you on your own birthday, and made it all about them and not you? I would just cut her out of every celebration, because sabotaging someone's birthday, especially your own family's, is a big no-no.

Just a quick note, generally, yes if the cops don't have a warrant, you don't have to open the door, but there are exceptions based on probable cause (they hear gunshots, they receive a credible threat, etc.) And if you don't open the door, they will break it down and that cost lands on you. I only bring this up to say that in SOME circumstances it is in your best interest to open the door. But yes, the default option is to not open the door. Edit: also to clarify, this is based on US law enforcement.

My wife lost her phone in a dollar general, which doesn't have outside cameras for some reason. I sent a "strongly worded message" to her phone, which I knew the theif could see bc she keeps the message preview on. So they saw "tracking this phone," and something about curb stomping. An hour later she got a call from the dollar general, someone returned it saying they "picked it up by accident."

I was a self check out host. My company stop having self check out because of it. I had customers with large orders come in and hog the self check out and it causes long lines. We have signs that said "20 items or less" and this doesn't stop them. They can't read signs

I think in the last story, OP felt the need to protect his neighbors because old people are much more likely to open the door to everyone.
