Plot twist: the son has long since realized dad was just sparing his feelings, but will continue to give manatee themed gifts until the old man breaks and admits defeat.

Fun Fact: Manatees have only six cervical (neck) vertebrae. This is unique among almost all mammals, which typically have seven. Due to this, manatees cannot turn their heads sideways and must turn their entire body to look around. The only other mammal exceptions to the seven-vertebrae rule are sloths.

I had a lisp as a kid but realized that if I talked with an accent.... I could say words I couldn't say normally. People ask where I'm from because they can't really place my accent and it's because... it's no one accent. Fun fact if you have a lisp or a stutter, if you use an accent or even sing it uses a different part of your brain than the normal 'talking' brain path so you don't lisp or stutter.
