Third Story: OP and her husband are going to lose their daughter because of how controlling they are. What bothered me is OP said "our beliefs" but it's clear that OP's daughter don’t share and her and her husband's beliefs. The invasion of privacy is wild. All OP and her husband did was show their daughter that she can’t trust them and will keep more things from them and will have a tighter chain

Story 3: “We invaded our daughter’s privacy to find what she had been so reluctant to show us. What we found was a story with mature themes, so we confronted her as this made us very upset, and confused made us concerned as to why our daughter wrote about it. Why would she hide this from us?”

Writer: OP is not seeing that her exact behavior and her husband's suggestion to take the laptop are exactly the reasons the daughter was hiding everything. She hid it because of their reaction and they're validating that decision.

For story 2I will never understand women who lose their crap over their sons getting married seriously. How creepy is this behavior?

Number 2: No, I think things are being handled just fine by her fiance, the issue is more that I don't think she's realized that low or no contact is required. How he reacts to that will be what makes or breaks things. Number 3: Fundamentalist losers, yay...

Story 2: I know that there's the whole weird/creepy emotional attachment to the son going on, but the fact that the abortion was when it all started makes me worry for any of OP's kids if she finally has them
