I grew up with a family of bullies. They would pick on me, scape goat me, etc. Whenever I would stick up for myself, against four other people who were older than me, I became the butthole because I was yelling or punching back instead of just "laughing it off". This is how bullies get away with it. Everyone who commented "everyone sucks here" has either never been bullied or is a bully themselves.

Her: _shames how Op eats, accuses her of being a nazi, shames her interacial relationship_ Op: _minorly insults her nose_ Her, throwing herself on the floor, kicking her feet and pounding her fists: _WAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!_

I think with the vacation story it’s not about OP having enough money to go themselves, it’s about the fact that they prepared for it. I have money in savings I don’t touch and if I want something I save for it in advance too. The daughter or whoever’s asking the whole family for money should learn that value

First Story, NTA: She can dish it out but can’t take it? She started commenting on OP's looks but as soon as OP commented on her's she cries? I get being insecure about it but what if OP was insecure about her looks? Only fault I’d give OP is saying it too loud but other than that she was just matching this woman's energy

If the kids in the second post did agree to go back to their mom’s I wonder how much emotional guilt tripping she used to pry them away from a fun summer day.

Story 4: Listen, some families have the unemployed person. For me it's my aunt. The person who can drive you somewhere if your car breaks down, can cook you dinner when you are sick, and can run errands for you when you are running behind, and sometimes that means when it comes to holiday times we pay for her to come with us because she does so much on a day to day basis. BUUUUT it's everyone chipping in for her, not just one person who has money, it's our small way of saying thank you to her.

Stopping at 1:38 to comment, Yeah let me guess, everyone had ears to hear OP clap back, but nobody had ears to hear the months of harassment that provoked it.

Last story: don’t wait 20 minutes to tell people to shut the fuck up. Combined total 5 minutes max.

Story 1: I would've said "If you didn't get that nose job, maybe you wouldn't be so nosey!" to call her out double time.
