Technology is good if it's used correctly and not overly abused

In 2011 or 2010 I was at a conference in DC and a guest speaker was this guy, Ron White. He went over tips and tricks for remembering peoples names, like meeting a group of four plus people and remembering their names after the first introduction. No joke, five years later I’m on the second day of a new job where all staff will be living for a few months, that night the boss asked who could name everyone here (60 plus people ). No one volunteered so I said f it I’ll try, and on my life I named all those people in front of everyone. Probably the dopest moment of my life. Thank you Ron. For context I had worked with roughly 15 of these people before so I did already know them.

I try do everything manually and by memory. Like dialling phone numbers instead of just clicking the contact, physically write notes instead of typing etc… i follow the ‘use it or lose it’ mindset…

The exercise with the furniture is a technique used for recall. The main way the physical brain remembers or pulls stored information into short term recall centers is through what is called the systemic memory and the best way to do that is by attaching new information to known information. That is what he is talking about with the furniture in your house. You first have to set a solid neuro plastic state with those peices of furniture. Once that state is set firm you can attach any information to it. As the dendrites reach out they begin to solidify deeper neurons connections. Your will to choose MENTALLY literally creates inside of you and WE DO NOT KNOW THE LIMITS.

3:24 I broke my ankle off, shoved my ankle on my leg, and gimped up a pasture hill about 170 yds. Then I called 911. Its is truly amazing what we can do when it’s life or death. Coming from a family of Marines and having a dad who is a natural at survival (he slept in a tent in the Siberian tundra) and taught me well is what kept me calm and clear minded. I’ve never been a crybaby girl anyway.
