Everyone keeps saying that Amanda is "nurturing mom" energy, but tbh she gives me more "favorite wine-drinking aunt" vibes
The “test” story made me feel physically ill. To be sat in a room with your family and have someone you felt was also family treating you that way. No one reacting. You’d feel crazy and disgusted and so confused. To add the insult that this test was basically blaming her for the forced sexualisation she’d already received from the previous husband? Vile. Throw the whole family away
The fact of the matter is that that man didn't humiliate his girlfriend. He scared her. That's why she cried
The mother/sister story doesn't sound like a mother willing to do anything to keep her daughters together. It sounds like a golden child-scapegoat dynamic.
If anyone's curious about the BIL x sister test, there was an update 7 days ago. In summary: She's much closer to her brother and father now. Mother apologized, and while it seemed genuine, their relationship is strained (no surprises there). Still no contact with sister and BIL and it seems sister is pregnant. BF's family were awesome and they got very close. Also she thinks BF might propose soon.
I have an eating disorder and I’m telling you lying to your partner about slipping something into their food is the most devastating move you could possibly make. Trust dead, relationship dead, and the spiral he was allegedly trying to prevent likely went into full swing after that episode.
It’s actually wild how the second story is literally the OPPOSITE ED scenario of the Sawdust story and yet has all the same problems as that one. It’s like looking into an alternate reality.
40:00 "She'll do anything to keep the family together." Except apologize. She won't do that.
The sister blaming her sister for being a victim of a crime is just mind blowing. 30:00
The sister one is actually so sad because in reality she was a victim too and had her privacy and space violated by someone she thought she could trust and then to have your sister blame that on you when you were traumatized as well is just truly sickening
