Update(lol): so the gnome/snake was actually like a YEAR before the squatter, I did mention but idk if they made that clear, since the squatter has left and been arrested we've heard no sounds but my best friend DID see a gnome while house sitting...we think it may be a duende, PLEASE stop dming me about the damn gnome, I never even wanted it to be such a prominent factor lol, I've posted the whole gnome story from my Reddit in comments and stuff, I'm hot gonna be replying as much now. Hi Smosh gang, OP here and new subscriber...thank you for covering fully, we're safe and squatter was actually arrested :')
shoutout to the art department for killing the set design once again!
I can’t believe no one acknowledged Damien’s “what he planning on doing? He doesn’t have any legs for the stairs” comment about the snake, that killed me
Mildly unrelated but CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE LIGHTING IN THIS VIDEO?!??!? ITS INCREDIBLE!!!
As a therapist, it is SO SO disturbing to see how many BAD therapists are out there.
I'm so obsessed with the gnome girl. "Turns out it was a squatter. We still have gnomes but that's fine and totally normal please stop asking about the gnome."
We can't have a scary episode without our resident spooky person, Damien Haas
To quote Dean Winchester“Monsters I get, people are scary!” What a crazy Reddit episode ❤
"Bury the Gnome" - when you're telling a scary story and you skip over a scarier thing that also happened as if it was no big deal
Regarding Shane's long monologue about missing something basic when you're young and how it messes up more advanced level stuff later - It wasn't until I was taking training for the YWCA R*pe Crisis Center volunteer program and we were looking at a checklist of Domestic Violence that I realized I had grown up in a DV household. It was weird because I knew my mom was a bad mom, but until the moment I looked at that list, it didn't occur to me to classify myself as a DV victim. And my response was a very lackluster, "huh. I'm a victim of DV."
