Thanks again for having me on the show! I hope your listeners enjoy.
For those bothered by the interruptions, keep in mind that Neil is a science communicator, and the dynamic between Neil and Chuck is designed to add humor and make the content more engaging for a broader audience. This isn’t intended to be a university lecture. If you’re genuinely interested in the topic or Emeran’s work, you can look up his lectures, or better yet, buy his books. I’d say this interview offers enough substance to encourage you to explore the subject more deeply.
I told my gastroenterologist over ten years ago that my stomach and gut issues was causing my anxiety; he said I was crazy. I didn’t know the connection wasn’t taken seriously in the medical field.
If your gut really has a say in how you think and feel, what decision in your life do you now blame on your stomach?
StarTalk has been my best friend as I recover from painful major surgery, thanks for taking me out of my body & into the universe
I enjoyed the episode. Please have this man again.
I suffered years of IBS symptoms while trying to assist my mother as her health declined toward the end of her life. The symptoms disappeared almost immediately after her death. For me, there is no doubt about a gut/brain connection.
I'm 73 and I've learned more about my gut in this episode than I've learned my whole life
There are no words I know of sufficient to express how much I value you all because of your love for each other, your curiosity and your joy. You will probably never see this but I just wanted to put it out there to the universe.
Please have this man back and don’t interrupt him! He was cut off so many times from both finishing his thought and sharing really good information.
