About the phone not listening part, i traveled by train back in 2018 with some friends, we startet talking about noise cancelling headphones for about 10-15 minutes, coming to the conclusion that one particular model is the best. then one of us checked their phone and got an ad on facebook for this particular model. the others checked and saw the exact same ad. that's not coincidence or "ads tell us what to think about".
