"traditional tools like Cursor" I did not expect to hear this sentence in 2025
Vibecoding in 2015 was copy-and-pasting from stackoverflow. Vibecoding in 2025 is using a machine to copy-and-paste from stackoverflow.
RIP vibe coding 2025-2025. Maybe it was about the scuffed prototypes we made along the way.
3:27 "traditional tools like cursor", ok bro 💀
I think people also overestimate general computer literacy. Young people are very good at using screens and high level apps to do what they want, but several of my friends who are college teachers, for example, have complained that a large percentage of their students are unable to do things like *save a file to their hard drive, and then find it again later*. In other words, even the most basic general computer skills required for vibe coding are probably more rare than most people in the tech world think.
He literally said "traditional tools like Cursor"
Maybe the real vibe coding are the friends we made along the way
Everybody who had that one "great app idea" finally had a chance to make it real. My guess is most of these apps couldn't be formulated properly to even resemble anything workable.
I'm old. My gateway platform to becoming a developer was Geocities.
Every comment about go-pro felt personal to me. Yes mines in a closet, yes I recorded only 1 ski trip on it, yes ive never looked at the footage, yes that was now almost a decade ago
